Can nigeria attack?

The curious case of Nigeria and its attack

I have said before and i will probably say again everyone because of such great play now see the word attack in regards to Nigeria being spelt Emenike

Yes he did do this in afcon and he missed out on confeds
yes he has just won the league in turkey in his first season with his new club which is his old club
yes he is one of our stars

and we should sit back
and just let that soak in for a bit
with the nostaligia and rightly so

We have been spoilt by success and we need to reach those levels again but this time surpass it
and i see why questions and emotion are all in the mix
but  we already have a template
already have mistakes we can learn from
we have ties with those legends alot of them are still living
even the coach from that time is in regular dialogue with our current coach
and coming from a nation of so many people of such diversity

we surprisingly agree about football
and we agree on the abilities of certain players
we do not doubt enyeama or ejide
in fact other nations are putting them in nominations for awards
and giving them accolades that it would be tantamount to self mutilation if we did not then see it ourselves
but we cannot just praise what others praise

We have stars
we may argue about their brightness but can maybe comeback to that they may be twinkling

Nigeria has big players
players that would in to the other teams in our groups team or into their starting line up
but then again the world cup is where the best teams
coming out of the battle of qualifiers
come to go for glory

The world cup is the litmus test of football
with players that are the face of football for generations of people
They are worried and perhaps unable to carry the burden of expectations
We are not minnows
We are seen as a big nation who does not perform
i have even heard of nigeria being equated with france

So in attack

 Mba

The Sunday star
can he be a game changer
what he did to ivory coast has been retold countless times and has immortalised him
but can he go one step further and do it on the biggest stage of all
Can he be our wildcard running from deep in his unorthodox manner
The world cup is a place of dreams and who has woven  more dreams lately in the green of nigeria than this man
Creating picturesque moments and who stepped up in the final with that wonder goal
he justs misses out on the fear factor but maybe after the world cup or after a few games he may earn it time will tell

Odemwengie is back

Discipline may be a question but his skill is not
he knows how to find the back of the net and has world cup experience
and the former nigerian footballer of the year
Has a shot on him and is willing to shoot as Have Hope has said about killers in a team
he is a killer willing wanting and ready to win and he is familiar with some of the players we will play against like the keeper of bosnia
he has played against argentina before
and it seems every Nigeria team will have to play Argentina
He could be one of the stars of the World cup
he going back to the killer factor has that i will take up the responsibilities type of attitude
which could work well with Emenike or be that extra game plan keshi needs
Also in regards to a player other teams will fear he is up there so i give him the

Fear factor

So much class in this picture^^

Victor Moses

He is a star
He is our star
Has he shown up for us
yes he has
how many times has he delivered us from the mouth of defeat
have we forgot what he did to the ethiopians
have we forgot how he played against italy
I have not
I was at that game and i saw him weave magic on the wing turning the defender like rubiks cube
form is temporary class is permanent
he will get back in form and show his class

he definitely has the

Fear factor

Musa

He is getting regular playing time and has experience in champions league and knows the squad set up
his pace alone makes him a
Fear factor
But if we find the right position for him the right way of utilising him
he will be beastly
have we forgot what he did to mali
or how we needed the win he latched on to a mikel pass and lifted it over the keeper
in the qualifiers
like in this picture they will double up on him like nobodies business
in confeds spain did not know how to handle the pace and direct running of the team
and he is a winner in such a short career his resume looks amazing

Ameobi

I saw him at the italy game
I admit i came in doubting but came out seeing why faith was instilled in him
Forget newcastle he is a different beast in the green and white
Ask italy with the goal and assist he came out with that day
With the space nigeria can create he could have a field day in brazil
His international tally is quite high
and brings something different to the team
Aerial threat and the physicality he has will trouble defenders ask italy

Uchebo

Kanu reincarnated
poise skill and dynamism he has it
the first half against mexico they were clueless
he can be that link between midfield and attack and he knows musa
well well
can keshi incorporate that into his plans
perhaps keshi could play him and ameobi at the same time to really trouble a defence

We sometimes just need to review our strengths to see if our weaknesses are that bad

For against italy we scored goals with a b team and just 48 hours after a world cup qualifier
Mexico was not about winning it was about the team we scored goals peviously against mexico drawing 2-2
