Nigeria v mexico part 2 what to look out for

Great scenes ^^^
and within a few days many of us will hope to be like that again

we are playing mexico
again some might add though last game we were missing some key players
and had

and not

leading the line
and as we nigerians know that is a big difference
and there have been reports
that emenike is looking to bring his world cup form for this game
so this is the first of many things we will be looking out for

with mikel on song in the cofederations cup
we will be looking to him with gleeful eyes to see how he can step up to the plate
showing us his potential
against this mexico side
since azeez is there to help free his inner beast

hopefully we see more scenes like this mikel celebrating

midfield is an area many of us is going to be watching
not just because of the potential of mikel
but because of the fluidity
the potential for all three players in the middle to interchange during the match
and keep the mexicans on the back foot

much has not been said
about nigeria's passing game
for mikel's goal versus uruguay
or even the play before the penalty and the red card in the last feature against mexico
was brought about by great build up play
quick interconnected passing

then there is leon balogun
who has put on his own twitter and his club has announced on their site
that he is off to go represent nigeria
he is known to play at rightback
so another new eagle being brought into the fold
many have been asking for his inclusion and possibly here it is
and i read on K.O,N
one person bemoaning our height at the back
well balogun is 6ft plus so there is some added height

the wings
this is an area
where we have abundant of talent and pace
but some of our players
are not playing regularly such as moses
or have moved to new clubs such as obinna
and for some have not played to their club level such as musa
so this is an area to look out for
for does moses still have it
is he playing a risky game
to be injury free come the end of the season and give his all for nigeria
we will find out

i touched on this player before briefly
but will he be able to step up to the challenge
he may be handed a start
and is tasked with completing our midfield
and releasing mikel
and cementing a partnership
with midfield battler onazi
quite a task
one we look forward to seeing

he will be hoping and us alike that come wednesday
imoh will be pointing to the nigeria badge as he celebrates
myself and many others have been clambering
for his inclusion
since he is quick nimble
suprisingly good in the air
young and has been lighting up the belgian league
(plus belgium was trying to snap him up)
but that aside we are looking forward to this
for will he start
where will he start
will he hit the ground running
will he score on his debut
will him and emenike strike up a good partnership
also how versatile is he

uchebo
a player i saw on youtube
and was instantly enthralled and convinced he needed a call up
he seemed to be strong
tall
skillful and kanuesque
but alas i thought it was a long shot
oh how i was wrong
and i will be looking forward to this
is he as skillful as youtube shows?
is he the link between midfield and attack?
is he dike's replacement
is he keshi's plan b the battering ram
along with ameobi?
also will he start?
ew own go

ameobi
can he perform again
i saw him live against italy
assist and score and wondrous goal
now can he do it again?
can he justify keshi's faith in him
can become prolific at international level?
i will keep an eye on him and his potential to link up with uchebo

nigeria the defence
many of us
are worried since many are not getting playing time
and oboabona has scored a few own goals
elderson on the bench at monaco
but can they pick up where they left off?
how will they gel with the new additions?

yobo
is he the player we need?
will he prove doubters wrong?
can he humble himself?
will he be used around the back four?

home based players

i did not see chan unfortunately
so i look forward to seeing these players
and can they handle the pressure of the friendly?
Will they prove the detractors wrong about the potential of home based players?

I am happy that keshi is trying to raise the profile
of the npl
since it gives us some wild cards
like what happened with mba
at afcon

lastly

who will be the winners and losers
the sure fire bets and the ones who will be replaced?
because places are up for grabs
and slip ups at this stage
could have a big effect
with many new players brought in and hungry to go to the world cup
